The World is not Fair

The World is not Fair

To paraphrase John Lewis, “When you see something that is not right, not fair, not just, you have to speak up . . . You have to do something.” Today, we had the opportunity to see the effects of life being unfair and the results of what happens when others do something about it. Our first stop of the morning was to Sheldrick Elephant & Rhino Orphanage outside of Nairobi. This organization works with the national parks when a young…

Out of Africa

Out of Africa

If you haven’t had the opportunity to watch the Oscar winning moving Out of Africa, I highly recommend that you do. Both the story and the movie have held up well over time. Plus, it gives you the opportunity to see how beautiful Kenya really is. Cheryl and I watched it the night before we left for Africa to get us in the mood for our trip. Coordinating these Covid tests has been one of the most stressful things I have done when…
